TU B’SHVAT

Tu B’Shvat is known as the “birthday of the trees.” Learn more about this Jewish “Earth Day” and enjoy a selection of fruits and other products gifted to us by trees in our special Zoom Tu B’Shvat Seder.

Here are the ingredients you’ll need so as to participate fully in the Seder from your home:

4 colors/types of grape juice or wine: white, light, medium, dark
If can’t find light and medium, mix white and dark juices

A selection of fruits, at least one from each of the following categories:
Fruits with shells/peels
Shelled nuts, oranges, clementines, bananas

Fruits with pits
Olives, dried apricots, dates, avocado (guacamole)

Entirely edible fruits
Pears. raisins, figs, grapes

There will also be a short service with mourner’s kaddish, which we know is important to several members of our community who are saying Kaddish.
