Shabbat

Erev Shabbat services are held on Friday evenings about once a month, followed by a kiddush and oneg. Shabbat services are held on Saturday mornings every couple of months, followed by a kiddush. Services are led by the Rabbi and our choir leader, Harvey Blau. The prayer book used is Mishkan T’filah: A Reform Siddur, which is fully transliterated.

When there is no Erev Shabbat service, we often hold a Friday night potluck dinner. Dinners are designated as either dairy or meat. While our potlucks are not kosher, no pork products or shellfish is served, and there is no mixing of dairy and meat. In addition, dishes brought from home should be labeled as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and/or kosher for the information of fellow congregants.
